International Symposium

IP and the Future of Food

The WIPO Japan Office, a specialized agency of the United Nations, will host an online symposium, “IP and the Future of Food”. The event will focus on the role of “IP” amidst the recent focus on global food issues and sustainable food production and distribution.

IP plays an important role in creating innovation and market competitiveness in the food industry. In this symposium, we will deepen our understanding of the food challenges facing the world, the transformation toward a sustainable future through food technology, and strategies for utilizing IP in the global market through presentations by experts in the field.
